CrewCare is proud to officially partner with Support Act. The two organisations have embarked on a close and ongoing relationship, ensuring our like minded objectives are consolidated in a united approach to all aspects of crew welfare.

Together we recognise and celebrate the incredible contribution made by crew, past, present and future, to the Australian music industry. CrewCare and Support Act work closely with each other, establishing programs to best reach and assist crew in current need and educate those who may come to rely on us in future.

CrewCare channels all donations and fundraising income through the Support Act Roadies Fund, knowing first hand the benefits and relief it has provided and will continue delivering to the live production sector.

Support Act provides the following services:

Crisis Relief – 1300 731 303

Support Act helps artists and music workers facing hardship due to illness, mental health problems, injury or some other crisis, to get back on their feet when they have hit a tough patch or just need breathing space. This can include assisting with daily living costs, providing referrals to other support services, and to bringing comfort and dignity to people in the final stages of life. Support Act also provides funding for funerals.

Help a Mate

Support Act support friends and family seeking to raise funds for an artist or music worker in crisis. Help a Mate events typically involve a benefit concert and/or online appeal. Support Act provides promotional opportunities, administrative support and financial acquittal of the funds raised.

Wellbeing Helpline – 1800 959 500

Support Act's new flagship service is a free, confidential 24/7 counselling service that is available to anyone working in Australian music who needs to talk to someone about any aspect of their wellbeing. It is staffed by professional counsellors who offer expertise in all areas related to mental health (depression, anxiety, addiction, suicidal feelings) as well as issues which can be mental health related (loneliness, relationship breakdown, financial worries, illness and workplace conflict).

We encourage all road crew to utilise these services and invite you to share this information with anyone who might benefit. Click here for more information.
