Active Bystander Training

Join us for our online Active Bystander Training on Monday 5th May from 12:00pm - 2:00pm (AEST) via Zoom.

This session is a specialised music industry training workshop presented by CrewCare and Support Act, designed to educate members of the music workforce how to actively intervene when witnessing sexual harassment, assault, discrimination and bullying.

These issues are big, complicated and take time to change, but every action, direct or indirect, all add up to collectively create cultural change. This training will provide you with the knowledge and confidence to identify when there is an opportunity for action and the many ways to take action.

Through reflection, group discussion and case studies you’ll learn to:

  • Define the behaviours, where change is needed and why there is no easy and quick fix, but many actions that add up to make a big difference.
  • Explore what your individual responsibility is when witness to sexual harassment, sexual assault and bullying.
  • Understand why there is no easy and quick fix, but many actions that add up to make a big difference.
  • Leave with the confidence and practical understanding of what you can do when witness to sexual misconduct, bullying and discrimination.

Every individual has a role to play in ending sexual violence and harassment.
