Our Services

CrewCare’s purpose is to improve all areas of crew welfare. We raise desperately needed funds to help those in times of need through our collaboration with leading industry charity Support Act.

CrewCare supports crew by employing our social networks and holding regular get-togethers. We aim to bring public awareness to the diverse range of highly technical and creative skills required of live production specialists, and acknowledge the vital role crew provide to the live entertainment industry.

Support

Our social support services foster a sense of unity and purpose amongst all crew by providing open channels of communication and holding regular get-togethers and events. We are mindful that partners and family are pivotal to our members' wellbeing and encourage participation as a family unit, whilst also referring support services for family members in times of crisis or need.

We have built many valuable relationships with peak industry bodies nationwide and collaborate with them to acheive our goals by bringing greater awareness to the issues presented and encouraging further action.

Fundraising

CrewCare is establishing exciting, alternative avenues to raise funds and assist those in crisis. Our projects and public events not only provide much needed funding, but also lift the profile of crew and highlight their core issues. CrewCare engages live production crew from all age groups and recognises that hosting vocal and successful nationwide events has a broad scope of appeal.

Education

CrewCare acts as an information and educational hub to advance the health and wellbeing of live production crew. We collaborate with industry specialists to implement educational programs designed to help crew develop self-awareness and monitor their mental wellbeing and physical health, recognise the warning signs and understand ways to deal with issues that can sometimes arise.

Research

The music industry has benefitted from research studies into the mental and physical health of industry workers. A 2016 study commissioned by Entertainment Assist revealed exponentially high rates of mental health problems within the industry and cited elevated risk to those working in live production, however research is yet to be undertaken identifying the causes and extent of the problem.
